While speaking to WEE! Sports Radio, Casey Affleck said that he doesn't think his brother Ben will star in the upcoming Batman solo-film. When the show hosts said that his comments were breaking news, 42 year-old Casey began to backtrack and insisted that he had made up his claims. Ben was first on board to write, direct, and star in the DC Extended Universe film, but stepped away to concentrate on giving the role of Batman the "passion" it deserves. Matt Reeves picked up directing duties, and recently teased that 'The Batman' will be a film noir crime drama focused on the superhero's detective skills.
