Shonda Rhimes, is one of the best-known producers in television. Rhimes is making the leap from ABC to Netflix. Rhimes' current hit shows like "Grey's Anatomy" will continue airing on ABC. But she will develop new shows exclusively for the streaming service. Right now, her Shondaland production company is affiliated with ABC Studios. In a statement, Rhimes said she was looking for an "opportunity to build a vibrant new storytelling home for writers with the unique creative freedom and instantaneous global reach provided by Netflix's singular sense of innovation." The terms of the multi-year deal were not disclosed.
