Karen Gillan, known for her roles in "Doctor Who" and "Guardians of the Galaxy" says she would like to join the live-action DC Comics universe. During a panel at Florida SuperCon, Gillan was asked which character she would want to play in the DC Comics world. The actress responded, "I?m going to play the Joker. Maybe a female Joker. [...] Somebody make a call for me and let them know I?m available." Although a DC Extended Universe "Flashpoint" movie was announced at San Diego Comic-Con, Lauren Cohan from "The Walking Dead" already took on the role of Martha Wayne, the female Joker, in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice."
