Star Wars fans have been learning new details about the upcoming new installment, The Last Jedi, thanks to a new in-depth report. In the latest segment of that report we learn more about how the late Carrie Fisher's Princess Leia will factor into the story, and where we find her after the emotional blows of the Star Wars: The Force Awakens finale. In the final act of The Force Awakens, The Galactic Republic suffered a big blow when The Third Order's Starkiller Base weapon wiped out The Republic capitol, along with its entire leadership. In The Last Jedi, that devastating blow leaves The Resistance cut off from the larger body of The Republic - which is not good news for General Leia Organa. For Leia, personally, the situation as even more strenuous, as galactic icon is also going through a time of serious inner turmoil, following the traumatic family events of the previous film. As this will be Fisher's final appearance as Leia, fans are hoping to see a fitting final arc from the character.
