During day three of Taylor Swift's legal battle with ex-radio DJ David Mueller, Swift's mom, Andrea, testified, crying as she described the day of the alleged assault from her point of view. Swift has accused Mueller of groping her during a meet-and-greet in 2013, a claim which Mueller denies. On Wednesday, Andrea took the stand, saying she was "upset [...] to the extent that I felt like I wanted to vomit and cry at the same time."
Andrea said that she and Swift "decided as a group" to let Mueller's employers know about the alleged incident, sharing, "We felt a responsibility that this not happen to another young woman. Swift is also expected to testify at the trial, which is expected to continue until August 17th.
