Chris Pratt revealed he liked a scene filmed for "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" shortly after meeting Ego on his self-made planet, but the actor knows why the clip didn?t pan out. "Ego built the statue for us. It was essentially of Peter Quill as Star-Lord; he is larger than life and all the other Guardians are really, really small. Quill looks at it and says, 'It's perfect!' It's a fun, funny scene -- but then we developed the story and it didn't work." As fans will remember, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 housed scenes where Ego would conjure up statues to tell his life story to the gang. Pratt didn?t think Peter would be excited about meeting Ego at first, so the hero?s reaction to the statue wouldn?t be quite so enthusiastic. Oh, and you can bet Rocket had some choice words about the biased statue as well.
