Oscar-winner Christian Bale latest physical transformation will see him gain a large amount of weight in order to play former U.S. vice president Dick Cheney. The upcoming biopic comes from director Adam McKay. McKay made his name directing Will Ferrell comedies like Anchorman and Step Brothers. He quickly established himself as a more serious filmmaker with 2015?s Oscar-winning The Big Short. Bale was among its all-star cast.
On the surface, Bale seems like a bit of an odd choice to play Cheney. He has shown multiple times in the past, though, a clear ability to disappear into his roles.
