In a recent Facebook Q&A, 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2' director James Gunn revealed that he wanted rock star David Bowie to appear in the movie. Gunn went on to explain that he had the idea for Bowie to appear as a member of Michael Rooker's Yondu's old Ravagers team, who in the flick is led by Sylvester Stallone. Gunn then revealed that he and Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige sought Bowie out for the role. However unfortunately at the time, he was not well and could not do the part. Ultimately, the legendary singer passed away from cancer in early 2016.
