In an interview with IGN, 'Guardians of the Galaxy' franchise director James Gunn teased casting for the Marvel character Adam Warlock, whose presence was teased at the end of the second movie. Gunn explained that older actors would not fit Adam Warlock, considering that in the comics, the character emerges from a cocoon as a fully-grown man, despite being a newborn. When asked about what other qualities he?d like to see in Warlock, Gunn admitted that answer would reveal too much about the story. He then talked about his decision to cut Warlock from 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2', saying he believed there were too many Marvel characters already in the film.
