A screenplay draft of 'Wonder Woman' from Joss Whedon allegedly written in 2006 was recently leaked online, and there are major differences between the draft and the 2017 movie. While Patty Jenkins? film is set during World War I, Whedon?s version was written in modern day. His script also cuts out most of Wonder Woman's backstory in Themyscira, simply including a brief explanation for the Amazons. There is also no Antiope, Robin Wright's character. One of the biggest differeneces is that in Whedon's version, Steve lives. The leaked draft ends happily, with the two characters riding off into the sunset together.
