Director James Gunn has officially confirmed a third Guardians of the Galaxy film. A release date has yet to be revealed but Gunn recently said he has knowledge regarding ?when the basic time is" for that window. As for when he expects production to start, Gunn said, ?a little more than year." Heading into Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Gunn has set a high bar with the massively successful and highly praised pair of Guardians movies he has already unleashed on the world. ?It?s been pretty easy," Gunn said. "The truth is, the first movie is the first act, the second movie is the second act, and the third movie is the third act so I?m tying a lot of stuff together in the third film."
