VIDEO : Christopher Nolan Wanted To Make 'Dunkirk' Without A Script

Christopher Nolan's latest film "Dunkirk" has been noted as having very little dialogue, a big change from some of his exposition-heavy films, like "Interstellar." Nolan admitted that he originally wanted to shoot the World War II film without a script. In a recent conversation between Nolan and his brother Jonathan, published alongside the 'Dunkirk' screenplay, the filmmaker explained why he thought a script-free approach could work. He said, ?I got to a point where I understood the scope and movement and the history of what I wanted the film to address, because it?s very simple geography." However, Nolan's wife and producing partner quickly shot down the idea. The script is one of Nolan's shortest, coming in at only 76 pages.
