Angelina Jolie's upcoming drama First They Killed My Father is exploring the terrifying reality of life in Cambodia under the genocidal Khmer Rouge regime, led by Prime Minister Pol Pot. According to ET, the film takes place in the 1970s where viewers get a look at the early days of Pol Pot's murderous regime from the point of view of a 5-year-old girl, who soon sees her world torn apart.
