With the upcoming release of Woody Allen's 'Wonder Wheel' Amazon moves one step closer to becoming a full-fledged movie studio. Amazon will release the film in October without a distribution partner -- a first for the company, which has relied in the past on independent studios such as Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions for theatrical releases. This isn't the first time that Allen has partnered with Amazon. In 2016 he released the critically panned TV series, Crisis in Six Scenes.
