Pulitzer-winning playwright Sam Shephard died at his Kentucky home on Thursday at the age of 73. During his decades-long career, he wrote plays such as "Fool for Love' and 'Buried Child,' which focused on broken dreams and family drama - often set in the American West. Shepard was seen as a modern day cowboy with "easy masculinity" and a rejection of any and all conventions.
