Since 20th Century Fox made the casting news, fans have been wondering why actor Josh Brolin was chosen to play the mutant Cable in 'Deadpool 2' even though he is already playing the villain Thanos in the upcoming 'Avengers: Infinity War.' According to David Leitch, who is helming Deadpool 2, both Marvel and Fox essentially agreed that the roles were distinct enough from each other to allow the actor to play both. Leitch explained, "I think everybody in sort of the Marvel and Fox world considered it, and they take their time and make measured moves." He then added, " I think everyone thought it was prudent and was okay in terms of the way Thanos is portrayed and Cable is portrayed. They're very different in styles, and in terms of the way they are presented in the movies, obviously."
