Following a bidding war between multiple networks, a drama series from Brad Pitt's production company Plan B called 'Sweetbitter' has landed at Starz. The show, which is based on the best-selling novel by Stephanie Danler, follows a 22-year-old young woman named Tess who after moving to New York is quickly introduced to the world of drugs, alcohol, love, dive bars and fine dining. She then learns to navigate the alluring, yet mentally punishing path she finds herself on. The book, which is described as 'Kitchen Confidential' meets 'Bridget Jones' has earned rave reviews from critics and readers since its release.
