VIDEO : Mick Jagger Gets Political With Two New Songs

Celebrity in this news:

Mick Jagger, the frontman of the Rolling Stones, has released two politically charged songs inspired by what he sees as the uncertainty and surrealism of politics in the age of Brexit and Donald Trump. One song, "Get a Grip", describes an "upside down" world full of "lunatics and clowns". While the second, titled "England Lost", presents a mocking take on Britain's split from the European Union. The 74 year-old Jagger said on Facebook that the songs were motivated by the "anxiety and unknowability of the changing political situation." He went on to say, "We obviously have a lot of problems. So am I politically optimistic? ? No."
