Actress Maria Bello has joined NCIS as a series regular for the CBS show's upcoming 15th season. Sources tell The Hollywood Reporter Thursday that Bello has signed a three-year contract to remain on the series. The actress, who will reportedly make her debut in the fourth episode of the upcoming season, will play an NCIS agent who previously served two tours in Afghanistan as a second lieutenant in the army. The character, who is said to be positive, but also mischievous and at times acerbic, will second guess and challenge Mark Harmon's Gibbs at times, meaning fans of the show can expect friction but also mutual respect.
