Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn has a special place in his heart for the lovable cast, including Rocket Raccoon.
That being said, he does want to clarify that "love" part just a bit.
In a directors roundtable with men's magazine GQ, Gunn recalled when he was first offered the Guardians of the Galaxy project by Marvel.
Gunn said he felt he was "created in a laboratory to create this type of movie."
Gunn also said he "I love *bleeping* raccoons, I love space operas, and I love comic books.? It was what I was made to do.?
Edgar Wright, who was also part of the roundtable, said Gunn's comments won't look good in print.
Gunn took the opportunity to clear up that he never had sex with a raccoon.
