Anne Hathaway is in talks to star in the live action Barbie movie. Following recent developments that saw the departure of comic actor Amy Schumer, things have been a little up in the air with regard to the Sony production. The movie is scheduled for a summer 2018 release. Yet there is no star or director attached. The script has gone through numerous drafts from several prominent screenwriters, including Juno scribe Diablo Cody. The film is about a doll living in an idyllic ?Barbieland? who is expelled from paradise for being imperfect.
