"Star Wars" costuming clubs held a tribute to Carrie Fisher as Princess Leia at the San Diego comic con on Sunday. Many women who dressed in Leia's white gown and famous twin buns spoke about how much they were inspired by the character. One said, "You put on a pair of buns, and you're unstoppable." an exhibit of fan art created after Fisher's death last year was included in the presentation. fans also celebrated the life of the actor who played R2-D2, Kenny Baker. He also died last year.
