According to the BBC this week, Jodie Whittaker, who will take over the role of 'Doctor Who' at the end of the year, will get paid the same amount as her predecessor, Peter Capaldi. The announcement comes after the network released the salary information for its executives, top-earning actors and presenters. In a statement, BBC Director-General Tony Hall said, "We want all our lead and presenting roles to be equally divided by men and women. Of the top talent we have hired or promoted in the last three years, more than 60 percent are women.?
