This week, Warner Brothers is putting the Batmobile from Justice League on display at San Diego Comic-Con. It will be displayed along with a realistic scale-model version fans can buy for $250. Without question, the Batmobile has been as an iconic piece of Batman lore as the character himself. It was first driven by Adam West in the Batman TV series in the late 1960s. Since then, the Caped Crusader?s retro ride has transformed into a sleek, weaponized vehicle starting with Tim Burton?s Batman films in 1989, and underwent a military-style upgrade with the Tumbler in Christopher Nolan?s The Dark Knight trilogy. The vehicle weights 8,500 pounds and is 20 feet in length, and comes fully armed with retractable machine guns and missile launchers.
