VIDEO : New Mexico get economic boost thanks to independent film

New Mexico will get a boost to its economy this month. The AP reports that the state will act as a backdrop for an independent feature film. 'Icebox,' an adaptation of a short that premiered at the Seattle Film Festival in 2016, will begin principal production of the feature film version in New Mexico this month. 80 crew members, 40 principal actors and 500 extras from the state will be employed during the production. Directed by Daniel Sawka, the AP adds that the film tells the story of boy who is caught by U.S. immigration, after leaving his Honduras home.
