The highly anticipated season premiere of "Game of Thrones" took place Sunday night, earning 10.1 million live viewers. The hit HBO series' audience increased by 27% from its season 6 premiere, which earned 8.89 million viewers. Although Sunday night's episode broke records for HBO, it still didn't top the number of viewers for AMC's "The Walking Dead" season 7 premiere last fall, which earned 17 million viewers.
