The 35-year-old Duke of Cambridge hosted a reception at Kensington Palace on Thursday to wish the England Lionesses good luck in the 2017 Women's Euro. He also graciously joined the girls' football team from the Wildcats Girls' Football program for a quick game of soccer. The event coincided with the FA's Football Week that begins on Sunday, which aims to raise the profile of women's soccer. During his time with the athletes, William, who is the president of the Football Association, got a chance to play goalie with the young Wildcats players, who seemed to be enjoying kicking the ball around with the royal.
