Joe Wright?s film about Winston Churchill, entitled "Darkest Hour," is nearing its release date. The film chronicles the first few days of Churchill's time as Prime Minister, when Great Britain was at war with Germany. Churchill must decide whether to sign a peace treaty with Germany or stand up to Hitler and the Nazis. Churchill has proven to be a popular subject for entertainment, appearing in many historical dramas in the last several decades. He will be portrayed twice on the big screen in 2017. In "Darkest Hour," he is played by actor Gary Oldman.
