Kid Rock, who supported Donald Trump in the 2016 election, has teased a potential 2018 run for the US Senate. The musician from suburban Detroit, whose real name is Robert Ritchie, said Wednesday that a website hinting at his campaign, www.kidrockforsenate.com, is legitimate. He said on Facebook and Twitter, "I have had a ton of emails and texts asking me if this website is real. The answer is an absolute YES. Stay tuned, I will have a major announcement in the near future." However, Michigan Republican Party Chairman Ron Weiser says he has not heard from Ritchie. Republican candidate Lena Epstein said in a statement, "I concede he is better at playing the guitar and I'll keep doing what I do best, which is fighting for Michigan."
