VIDEO : David Ayer Says No Thank You To 'Scarface'

Celebrity in this news:

Suicide Squad director David Ayer is departing Universal?s upcoming Scarface reboot. Universal is searching for yet another director to take on their iteration of the classic gangster film. Ayer, however, will continue to develop the spinoff of last year?s DC bad guy team up film.
Scarface has been produced as a movie a couple times, most memorably in director Brian De Palma?s 1983 film with Al Pacino. Ayer is not the first director to depart the project. Equalizer and Training Day director Antoine Fuqua dropped out due to scheduling conflicts. Other directors, including Peter Berg, have been unsuccessfully courted.
