Sir Patrick Stewart has opened up about his initial thoughts on doing Logan, which is Hugh Jackman's last film as Wolverine. Stewart was particularly skeptical about director James Mangold's depiction of Professor Charles Xavier as old, dependent and fragile. Stewart has been playing Professor X for 17 years and has appeared in seven feature films in the Fox Marvel Universe. Stewart said ?There might have been moments before Logan when I thought, ?If I do this and I really go for it, am I only going to get cast as geriatrics from now on?? I am not quite there yet!?
