On Thursday, James Gunn confirmed that 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2' will be the first-ever Disney release in 4K UltraHD.
There is still no official release date for the DVD and Blu-ray.
Gunn said that more announcements will be coming "soon" from the studio.
He cautioned fans against believing reports that he or Disney have not vetted.
He noted that release dates and DVD details can leak out, often not in their final or official form.
