Actor Daniel Dae Kim has opened up about his decision to leave CBS' 'Hawaii Five-0' just days before production for the program's eighth season begins. Kim who has played Chin Ho Kelly since the series' premiere in 2010, said in a social media post this week, "Though I made myself available to come back, CBS and I weren?t able to agree to terms on a new contract, so I made the difficult choice not to continue." According to Variety, Kim and co-star Grace Park, who is also leaving the show, had been seeking similar pay to main stars Alex O?Loughlin and Scott Caan, but were unable to reach deals with CBS.
