French actor Lambert Wilson is taking on the role of iconic adventurer and filmmaker Jacques Cousteau in the new film, L'Odyssée.
The movie is being shot on location in Cape Town, Croatia and Antarctica.
The film tells the story of thirty years in the life of Cousteau, who was a well-known researcher, scientist and adventurer.
Cousteau's marine documentaries piqued the public?s interest in the sea.
Wilson said he grew up watching Cousteau documentaries and said "no matter what he's going to be an interesting character to play."
