Adult comedies have had a rough time at the box office recently. The latest to suffer is New Line/Village Roadshow?s ?The House,? which stars Will Ferrell and Amy Poehler as a married couple, who start up an illegal casino to raise money for their daughter?s college fund. Warner Bros. released this movie at more than three thousand locations, and will probably receive an opening of just nine million dollars, against a reported budget of 40 million.
