For the past nine years, Robert Downey Jr. has been known as Tony Stark, making him an essential character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But Downey Jr. said he may have to hang up his Iron Man suit soon. While promoting his most recent appearance in Spider Man: Homecoming, the actor said, "Everyone says to me it?s like a glove that fits so well. I have to start over every time but I am starting over with a pretty solid base...I just want to hang up my jersey before it?s embarrassing.? There's been some speculation for a while that the actor might be ready to depart the franchise, and based on recent comments it looks like he's definitely looking to move on.
