VIDEO : Gillian Anderson Reacts To 'The X-Files' All-Male Writers Room

Actor Gillian Anderson, best known for her role as Federal Agent Dana Scully on "the X-Files" recently lamented the lack of gender diversity among the show's writers and directors. On Thursday, in response to a report that the writer's room for the next season of the show would once again be completely male, Anderson said, " ?I too look forward to the day when the numbers are different." Earlier this week, news broke that series creator Chris Carter had assembled a new writers? room for the next season of the X-Files, bringing back series veterans Darin Morgan, Glen Morgan and James Wong. Anderson went on to point out that only 2 of 207 episodes of the hit-series has been directed by a woman.
