In separate instances this week, actresses Halle Berry and Michelle Rodriguez have spoken out about the lack of diversity in Hollywood. In an interview with Teen Vogue, Berry said that her 2002 Oscar win "really meant nothing." She said she "thought it meant something" at the time, but when all 20 acting nominees in 2016 were white she said she was "profoundly hurt by that, and saddened by that." And elsewhere, in an Instagram post, Michelle Rodriguez called out the Fast & Furious franchise by writing that she hopes "they decide to show some love to the women of the franchise on the next one or I just might have to say goodbye to a loved franchise."
