VIDEO : Austin Film Festival to Honor Writer/Director Kenneth Lonergan

On Wednesday it was announced that Kenneth Lonergan will be honored at this year's Austin Film Festival & Writers Conference. Lonergan, who will receive the event?s 2017 Distinguished Screenwriter Award, won the award for best original screenplay at the 2017 Oscars for the movie 'Manchester by the Sea', which he also directed. In addition, Lonergan has also written the screenplays and directed the films 'You Can Count on Me' and 'Margaret'. The Austin festival, which celebrates contributions from writers to film, television and new media, takes place October 26-29.
