In the film Okja star Tilda Swinton plays the role of Lucy Mirando heir to wealthy family whose fortune was built out of corruption by Lucy's father. When asked about her influences for the character Swinton admits she may have channelled energy from the Trump family, in particular Ivanka Trump. Swinton said: "When we shot in New York last summer, I stood watching the Republican convention on the television in our lunch break dressed as Lucy, watching a different daughter of a different dubious dynasty addressing, from a high podium, a big crowd with glossy blond hair, expensive orthodontics and modeling her Barbie-perfect modest pink dress (concurrently on sale online). Chicken? Egg? Okja will be available to stream on Netflix starting June 28th.
