John Legend has won an Oscar, a Grammy, and a Tony award for his music. As his last name leads on, he is a music legend. That?s why fans were amused to find out that Legend was also a spelling bee champion when he was younger. According to a Springfield Newspaper in 1989, Legend was dressed well, was very focused, and that he ?came to win? and win he did.? Apparently, Legend?s mother, Phyllis Stephen, helped Legend prep for all of his spelling bees. She did a good job.
