In a new interview, 'Spider-Man' actor Tom Holland praised Sony's casting of Tom Hardy?s for the character Venom in the web slinger villain's standalone film. While promoting the impending release of his own film, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Holland said, "I think Tom Hardy will really play that character with, you know, a lot of energy, a lot of life. It can be a very cool movie.? Venom, which will also reportedly feature fellow Spider-Man villain Carnage, is scheduled to be released into theatres October 5, 2018.
