Film producers Judd Apatow and Barry Mendel most recent project is a film call ?The Big Sick.? The film was written by a married couple named Kumail Nanjiani and Emily V. Gordon, and it?s based off the true story of how they met. The film also takes place in the Chicago comedy scene. In an interview Apatow was asked how much of the material in the film was written by the comedians cast. He stated, ?You know we know that we?ll write some jokes and then we?ll also let everybody improve. It?s hard to create the spirit of comedians giving each each other a hard time? without letting people? pitch jokes.?
