The Silver Sable and Black Cat movie director hopes to begin work on casting the film soon. The news that Sony would be moving forward with the spinoff film ? which brings two of the most beloved female characters from the Spider-Man comics to the forefront ? came as a legitimate shock to many comic book fans and industry insiders too. After all, when Marvel Studios first announced that it would be partnering with Sony to bring Tom Holland?s Peter Parker/Spider-Man into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it had been assumed at the time that also meant the end of development on their multiple different Spider-Man spinoff projects.
