According to a report this week, 'Star Wars: Episode IX' director Colin Trevorrow asked 'The Last Jedi' helmsman Rian Johnson to shoot a small part for his film while 'Episode VIII' was in production. In an interview with MTV?s Happy Sad Confused podcast, Trevorrow explained of Johnson's involvement, "It wasn?t an adjustment, it was just ?Could you shoot this one extra thing while you?re in this place on this day?? And he did, which was great." Johnson's 'The Last Jedi' will be released later this year on December 15, while Trevorrow's untitled 'Episode 9' movie is scheduled to be released May 24, 2019.
