According to reports, Oscar-nominee Jessica Chastain is in talks to play the main villain in the upcoming 'X-Men: Dark Phoenix' movie. According to The Hollywood reporter, if Chastain were to be cast, she will play the character Lilandra, an empress of the alien race Shi?ar, which are rumored to be the main bad guys in the movie. The film's plot will reportedly revolve around Chastain's Lilandra on a mission to imprison and destroy Jean Grey before she turns into the ultra powerful and dangerous Dark Phoenix. Simon Kinberg, who wrote the second and third installments in the 'X-Men First Class' trilogy, is on board to direct the film.
