VIDEO : Joel Schumacher Issues Apology for 'Batman & Robin' Movie

In a new interview with Vice, director Joel Schumacher apologizes for helming the 1997 movie 'Batman Forever'. Schumacher said of the film, which currently has an 11% freshness rating on Rotten Tomatoes, "It was like I had murdered a baby. I want to apologize to every fan that was disappointed because I think I owe them that." Despite bad reviews, the movie, which starred George Clooney as the Caped Crusader, did produce large amounts of merchandise sales. Schumacher even goes on to admit that he was actually ready to make another Batman movie before deciding not to.
