On Monday it was announced that 'Boyhood' director Richard Linklater?s latest movie, 'Last Flag Flying', will kick off the New York Film Festival. The movie, which stars Steve Carell, Bryan Cranston and Laurence Fishburne, open nationwide on November 17. In 'Last Flag Flying', Cranston, Carell and Fishburne play three aging Vietnam-era Navy vets who reunite to ensure the proper burial of Carell's character's only child, who has been killed in the early days of the Iraqi Invasion. In a statement Monday, Linklater said, "It?s always special to be at the New York Film Festival, but to be premiering our movie on opening night, when you look at the half century of films that have occupied that slot, is a wonderful honor."
