Director and actress Elizabeth Banks has landed the task of rebooting Charlie's Angels for the big screen. In a recent interview, Banks said she loves her job because of "the constant challenge." Banks has already seen success with a female-led franchise in Pitch Perfect, which bodes well for Charlie's Angels. The original was a cult crime drama TV series on ABC from 1976 to 1981. It was also turned into a film in 2000, starring Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore, and Lucy Liu. A release date for Banks' reboot has been confirmed for June 2019 but not cast or plot details have been revealed yet.
