Modern Family star Ariel Winter wants nothing to do with her mother. In 2015, Winter was emancipated from her mother in a custody trial in which she claimed she was sexualized and abused by her mother, Chrystal Workman. Last year Winter told Ellen DeGeneres, "I don?t really talk about the reason that I don?t speak to my mother. It?s kind of been publicized, but the reason I don?t really share that is because I want to give her the same respect that she didn?t give to me publicly.? Workman recently criticized her daughter on Twitter, calling her outfits "revealing." Winters responded, calling Workman "toxic" and asked, "Why is it that you only choose to talk to me through the press?"
